Lisa Stallard has worked in the Mental Health and Community Services sector for many years.
She is a qualified counsellor and has worked in two practices. Her first practice was in Sydney working with individuals with mental health issues including anxiety, depression, phobias, relationship issues and marriage mediation. She has provided counselling for clients with significant underlying trauma issues and in crisis. Her second practice was on the Central Coast of NSW where she worked with families and children, as well as groups for children and women.
She has worked in numerous capacities in Community Services including drug and alcohol crisis accommodation and counselling, case management at a Sydney City Mission residential home for young homeless women, in-home support, and groups for longer term unemployed people - including indigenous people.
She has run awareness media campaigns for not-for-profit organisations including: Dementia Australia NSW, Quit Smoking Campaign and the Asthma Foundation of NSW.
Lisa combines her love of supporting people with her research and writing skills to work as a trainer in AoD, Mental Health, Community Services and Counselling.
