Salil leads finance, commercial performance, and capital strategy across Australian VET Group, Hader Institute of Education, and Optimiser AI. He was Chief Financial Officer at Catalyst Education, where he partnered with the CEO, Board, and senior leaders on growth, performance, and transformation. Across these roles, he has guided budgeting, reporting, risk management, and compliance, while helping teams make informed decisions through financial controls.
His qualifications include an MBA from La Trobe University and a Master of Professional Accounting from Victoria University. He is a Chartered Accountant and completed the Company Directors Course through the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications and a Bachelor of Commerce from Guru Nanak Dev University.
Salil’s experience spans vocational education and outsourced business operations. He brings an improvement-focused mindset, strengthening systems, sharpening reporting, and supporting better outcomes through clear accountability. At Catalyst Education, he helped navigate COVID-19, supported corporate transactions, and introduced measures linking financial results, learner outcomes, compliance, and team culture.

His work includes Power BI, predictive modelling, and automation that make complex information easier to understand. He has led digital transformation projects and helped teams use data confidently in their everyday work.
