Joining the Hader team after seven years working with high risk and vulnerable young people, Maria brings her passion about mental health, youth work, trauma-informed practice, self-care and resilience. Maria has had experience within various youth work positions, from custodial youth worker, assessment coordinator and case manager, all of which have allowed her to grow her knowledge of the sector.
Maria has completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Youth Mental Health. She is currently completing her Master of Counselling, with her master project exploring the effects of adverse childhood events and childhood trauma on lifespan development. Along with this, Maria also holds her Certificate IV in Training and Assessing and a Certificate IV in Youth Justice.
As a trainer, Maria brings her high energy and enthusiasm to her classes while ensuring that each learner feels heard and supported to achieve their educational goals. Maria hopes to empower her learners to ensure longevity and success on their chosen life path.
